General Dentistry in Aurora

General dentistry encompasses a wide range of restorative dentistry services and treatments for people of all ages. It starts with regular checkups. Twice-yearly dental checkups are essential for even the healthiest patients. Often, people have areas of their teeth or gums with underlying problems that they cannot see at home. Most dental checkups consists of a thorough cleaning and dental exam, but there may be times when you’ll need additional care or treatment.

What to Expect

We’ll check the health of your teeth and gums to ensure there is no infection or inflammation. Gum disease often manifests without any pain or discomfort and can progress quickly to a dangerous, irreversible state. We’ll also check for TMJ and dental decay and suggest any X-rays we feel are necessary for an accurate diagnosis. We perform regular oral cancer screenings for every patient. While oral cancer is extremely rare, it is also extremely deadly and can progress quickly. So we recommend checkups every six months to ensure your oral health.

Thorough Professional Cleanings

We recommend a regular professional cleaning from your dentist or registered dental hygienist every six months. Your dental hygienist will remove any tartar or calculus from your teeth and then polish your teeth so your whole mouth feels fresh and clean when you leave. Unlike most offices, Summerbrook Dental Group gives you a choice of which hygienist you prefer to see. Most dental offices only have one hygienist, but we have found that the wide array of personalities and preferences that our patients bring to our office really require having multiple hygienists you can choose from. It’s comforting to know that you always have a choice at Summerbrook Dental Group.

We welcome patients from Aurora, Centennial, Colorado Springs, Delmar Parkway, Englewood, Lakewood, Mission Viejo and bordering locations.
