In recent years, I had a couple bad experiences while at the dentist and so from those experiences I had not been to the dentist in 5 or 6 years. From these experiences I had decided that I was not going back to the dentist until I absolutely had to.
One day driving to work I heard the advertisement on KOA radio by Stefan Tubbs and he stated that he had gone to SummerBrook Dental and had a good experience. After I got to work I cound't remember the name of the dentist so I emailed Stefan and he gave me your information ad I made the phone call.
I have a tooth that I thought I may have broken possibly two years prior from me gritting my teeth. I have always thought if someone could put me under while doing my dental work, that would be great. I went for the pre-exam and I was very nervous and Dr. Harmon and the dental assistants were very calming but I still was very nervous. When I get into a dental chair I immediately grab on to the arms of the chair and remain in a white knuckle position. I am always in fear of what I might feel or what is going to happen next. Dr Harmon stated everything looked fine except I needed my teeth cleaned. I asked if I could be sedated for that and he indicated that I could.
My next visit was with Dr Craig and he also was so calming. He explained everything to me and I told him that I was a chicken when it came to the dentist. I had decided previously that I wanted the injection to be put complete under. Dr. Craig did such a good job that I did not even feel the needle when he put it in. I don't remember much after that, YAHOO!!!!.
Another important thing that I remember is after other teeth cleanings, my gums and teeth would be sore and hurt a few hours after the cleaning. My teeth or gums did not hurt and actually I would not have know that I had been at the dentist that morning.
One of things that I notices about the whole staff is that NO ONE harped on me about not going to the dentist. I know I should go at least once a year but I also did not need to be reprimanded for it everytime I did go. All of the staff was great!!!
I am so thankful that I heard your advertisement on the radio. I now know that I can make it to the dentist without fear and get all the necessary work done that it is needed.
